Review outputs and sources
On this page
Review the business result as well as the answer. A clear summary can still contain a missing source, an unresolved assumption, or an action that has not completed.
Check the requested outcome#
Compare the output with the original brief. Confirm the right record, time period, audience, and requested deliverable. Look for omitted sections and unresolved questions before treating the task as complete.
Check whether the output says that the work is complete, needs review, or is blocked. An unresolved dependency should have an owner and a next step rather than disappearing inside the summary.
Review the supporting sources#
Open the references you are authorized to access. Check that they support the specific claim and apply to the correct record and period. Distinguish a source fact from the agent's interpretation.
When sources conflict, identify the governing record with the relevant business owner. Do not assume that the newest document is automatically authoritative. Ask for the conflict to be shown explicitly if it affects a decision.
Distinguish a draft from an action#
A prepared message is not a sent message. A proposed record change is not a confirmed update. For work that changes a system, review the available execution evidence and resulting state through the review process agreed for your deployment.
If completion is uncertain, investigate before requesting the same action again. Repeating a request can create duplicate work or side effects. See Troubleshooting and support.
Return actionable feedback#
State what needs to change, why it matters, and which source or acceptance criterion applies. Separate content corrections from requests to expand scope.
For example: “The briefing is complete except for the owner of the overdue commitment. Use the owner in the current case record and flag the historical owner as outdated.”
If a decision requires formal approval, use the configured approval process. A casual comment should not be treated as a substitute for the authorization required by the workflow. Read Approvals and oversight for the responsibilities to agree in advance.
